Lauren & Joseph got married right after the New Year...
the theme sort of found itself when she asked to use a friends'
barn ...western/cowboy!
I have to admit it was really hard for me since most of the
decor that the owner had stayed...I had to figure out
how to decorate around and with it...
She really wanted her strong color to be blue...I brought in a few colors of it, and some whimsey. I think that it was especially fitting for the space.
Not alot of bling...just a little.
I loved the way the burlap sat w/the yellow and blue paisley fabric. Add a little bit of deep blue crinkle taffeta... and a little bit of bling {insert smile here} and I'm a happy girl! The centerpiece vases were large mason jars... a little mix of cowboy and a whole lotta pretty!
The "other" tablelook, was this
light blue polka dot w/a white sheer organza runner...
and a simple mason jar & candle flanked by a large, yummy peony.
I normally don't go "simple" but...
what you don't see in the photos is all the fun cowboy "stuff" on the walls!
This was just enough for the space...;)
The owner had these
fabulous tables already in the space!
{shhhh! I was kinda secretly trying to figure out how
to steal them & haul them home when we packed up!}
They were made of barn wood, and had big wagon wheels on the front...darling for this particular theme!
Her food was soups:
spicy taco & creamy potato w/all the toppings
and mini cornbread.
We did a hot chocolate bar, too.
It was a fun night!
Thanks, Lauren for letting me help out!
xoxo-
